Mold Book Name: Horse & Jockey

Notes: Due to its fragility and breakage rate, this piece was made in very small numbers.

A much smaller version was produced for the Specialties line as 3297, Race Horse and Jockey.

Notes: The comparison photo shows the difference in clay slip colors for bays, even from the same (late Monrovia) sub-era. This makes it difficult for collectors to find a truly matched Comella-Vanguard pair.

By 2020, color choices had been extended to charcoal gray, black, bay, dark chestnut, chestnut, gray, white, rose gray, buckskin, palomino, black & white pinto, calico pinto. Retail price was $225; $250 for dapple grey. A total of 321 were made.)
